It seems that you either love him or loathe him, but as far as the MTV Video Awards go, James Blunt is a winner.
The ex-army man marched off with two gongs on the big night.
The new additions to his mantelpiece are for best male video and best cinematography for You’re Beautiful.
So, who else went home with an ear-to-ear grin?
Pop Idol winner Kelly Clarkson basked in the glory of winning the best female video gong for Because Of You, beating off competition from the likes of Madonna and Christina Aguilera.
